"We Miss You": Monique Samuels Mourns Her Late German Shepherd Zulu

"So grateful for the flashbacks we’ll get from filming season 3 that included you!"

By Brienne Walsh

According to Karen Huger, Monique Samuels was one of the only The Real Housewives of Potomac who stood by her when it was revealed that her husband, Ray Huger, owes millions of dollars in back-due federal taxes. Now it looks like Monique will need Karen to stand by her side as she deals with her own tragedy.

Over Twitter this weekend, Monique revealed that her family’s beloved dog, a German Shepherd named Zulu, had passed away.

In the tweet, Monique included a picture of Zulu her two children, Christopher and Milani. Although she did not reveal the cause of his death or timing, Monique hints that fans will be treated to glimpses of her deceased pup in season three of the show:

Rest In Peace to our dear Zulu. We miss you and are so grateful for the flashbacks we’ll get from filming season 3 that included you!

Zulu was not an elderly dog. In fact, he was an eight-month-old puppy when Monique made him his own Instagram page ten months ago. (You can follow him posthumously @zulusamuels.)

In an earlier tweet on Sunday, Monique announced that her family had finally moved into their new home in Potomac.

We hope that Zulu had at least a little bit of time in that fabulous mansion, enjoying the massive pool and the shark tank installed in the kitchen.

Rest in peace, Zulu. See below for some of our favorite videos and photos of the adorable dog.
