"Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It's the rhythm of your life. It's the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy."
- Jaques D'ambroise
"It's also A KICKASS CARDIO WORKOUT!"
- Craig Ramsay
WIth my background performing on Broadway, I know first hand how dance is one of the most cardiovascular workouts. Broadway dancers are known for having the most beautiful bodies. Stay tuned to www.craigramsayfitness.com where I share with you how you can dance the pounds away and end up with a Chicago musical hot body!
I was overjoyed about this week's workout with Robyn and the fitness Dolls. So was Joe...just kidding. But let me tell you, it's a very vulnerable experience using your body the way we did this week. Everyone did a great job! Not only did they get the steps down, but you could see everyone put their personality into their moves. Mandy's cheerleading abilities, Bryan and Stacy's theater background, Shay's pole dancing moves, Jeana's sexy playboy moves, Nikki's club moves, and Joe's, well...Joe gave it his best.
Mandy's home is BEAUTIFUL! I joked with her during our workout in the backyard, "Now it makes sense why you were crying the day before at the gym. I would cry too if I had to leave such a beautiful home!" She thought that was funny. But seriously, if her health and fitness is going to be a true lifestyle change, her family has to be involved. This is why I wanted to see her home and meet her family. For some women like Mandy, this program has to be a family affair. The support from loved ones is so strong. For all you Thintervention clients watching at home, get your family and friends involved! Share your journey. Get them all on the same path. Sharing is caring.
Mandy and Brett have such a solid, healthy relationship. I absolutely loved their advice to us -- treat your partner as if you are dating. Thank you Mandy, I am applying your advice immediately!
When you lose weight with our program, you get emotional. It will happen! This is not only due to chemical changes, but losing weight is a workout from the inside out. Working on yourself is emotional, but it's worthwhile work. Use these emotions to energize your workouts. Keep going all of you at home. My wish for you is that you are taking the proper tools and information we give you so it can be applied to your life. You deserve this change!
I thought I'd share a recent dance picture taken by the great Photographer Lesley Pedraza and leave you with one of my favorite quotes...
"Dancers are the athletes of God."
- Albert Einstein
Craig, the second you appeared in that outfit on the stage, you had my heart. I love the fact that you appear to just love life and live it to the fullest. Keep that beautiful spirit!
It was great to see everyone working it out in dance. As a dancer, you sometimes forget how good of a workout it is, until you're not doing a show anymore. :) Kudos to the Thintervention kids and you too, Craig.
I totally agree with RHooks. Craig brings so much enthusiasm and life to the show and the people on it. I love when he is onscreen. His enthusiasm is infectious to the people on the show and the television audience. Craig, your body in an inspiration to us all!
Craig: You make that show! I love your warmth, enthusiasm, and caring for the people on the show. I loved the comment when Stacy said, "Craig I'm gonna vomit on you!" and you said, "That's what soap and water's for." Classic!
I loved the PCD routine this week. I had no idea what an amazing dancer you are! I think you should have been involved in the dance-off to give the others some inspiration. Plus, I was dying to see you bust a move!
Craig, You are so great. I think the team is so lucky to have someone like you to guide them on their journey, plus to show them you care so much. You are able to show them that you can be in shape, but being in shape does not mean you are perfect. You show great humanity and compassion and Jackie is very lucky to have a caring partner-in-crime. Thank you for your heart.
