4oz cottage cheese with 1/2 cup grapes
4 oz cottage cheese
1 small apple
4oz turkey deli meat
2 cups of steamed broccoli
1 small slice whole grain flax bread
I am surprised at how little they eat. To be working out this hard and eating this little - and not losing weight????? I have lost over 40 lbs this past year. When I was first starting I was very restricted with my diet and I exercised regularly 5 to 6 days a week. But, I chose a plan for life. Healthy meals - healthy portions. Nothing processed, fried, or full of sugar. Lean and healthy. meats/vegetables/beans/fruits/whole grains. I just do not think you can sustain in the real world on a diet like this. I still exercise regularly, I still always find the most healthy meal - I plan ahead, bring my lunch to work, and shop for my groceries with meals in mind. Convincing my family that we could eat healthy and still have a good meal was hard - but it worked. We all eat better now. This meal plan above is prison.
I have to agree with you cinful. I too have lost weight and what they are eating does not seem like you can upkeep that. It really seems unrealistic to be honest.
I would like to know why the doctor said no fruit. I love fruit and of course I have polycystic ovarian syndrome also, and I thought I was eating healthy by eating fruits.Maybe thats why I can't lose much weight either????
I agree. But you should read Bryan's meal plan. They sound like delicious meals with real food and variety.
Because fruit is a simple sugar which agrevates your polycystic ovarian syndrome. Fruits are healthy but not for someone with that problem.
I like the show - I was surprised they weren't losing more weight - then I look at this meal plan. 2 shakes - a pear, piece of cheese and a tuna sandwich with an apple? Life is better than this!!!!! It is! And - surprise - you can eat much better than this and still lose weight. I'm checking out Bryan's list - he wouldn't stand for this meal plan - would he? Also - I agree - Fruit = sugars. Stick to berries in the morning.
