- Envision yourself at your dream weight, in a bikini, having child-like fun with friends by the pool
- Visualize yourself confidently flirting or finding your inner seines with someone.
- Picture yourself in great shape, jogging on the beach in Rio.
- Imagine yourself exercising and loving it. This strengthens the mental connection between exercise and you. See yourself going through a whole set without getting tired, and feel the power flowing through your muscles. As you do, think of positive words, such as strong, confident, and energetic. When you're actually doing your workout, you'll reexperience those feelings of confidence and strength.
Do your visualizations when you wake up in the morning, before you go to bed at night, or when you are exercising. Workouts are life-enhancing mediation.
hi jackie- love the show-i have had 3 c-sections. is having a flat stomach ever again possible w/o surgery. a dr told me no since the muscle is cut. your input?
Hey Jackie, I have been really interested in your new show. I have a question regarding eating before working out. You mentioned it on your show how if you don't eat before you work out there is nothing to burn and then later when you eat it just turns to fat? not sure if I have it right but could you explain further - thanks!
Jackie PLEASE come to Ft Lauderdale and help me! I got divorced and my weight has skyrocketed and I like that you help people at my weight. some of the other shows only help the severely obese, it I dont get help now, I will be headed there. Will you ever consider a show down here. I NEED the push, and you are the one who wont let me get away with my BS !!
Hi Jackie, i have hypothyroidism can you email me a workout and eating plan that will speed my metabolism up. It is hard for me to lose weight even when I cut calories and workout.
Hi Jackie!!!! I'm finally not so computer stupid that I can follow your blogs and tips, etc... I'm really excited to comment you because I've been watching you since the first episode of your first show. I'm sure you get lots of help me comments, but I want to ask you your opinion and for your help in a way. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, failed back syndrome, and I've had 2 back surgeries, to name a few of my illnesses. I want to have a great workout, however, and I want my body to be slimmer and more fit, for my health and my self esteem. I want to look as beautiful as my husband thinks I am and I want to love my body as much as I love my personality (at times :) ). Because of my illnesses, working out more than just cardio is difficult. My wrists are weak, but I miss push ups and dips to make my arms beautiful...I have endless obstacles like this, but obstacles are nothing more than a fact of life; I just want solutions. I used to be a gymnast and my small frame is muscular, so when I do gain weight, I can hide it, but I don't want to hide it, I want to look my best. Can you help me? I mean, do you have advice for the exercises that I can do? I don't know if this is your field of expertise (how to help the crippled, hehehe), but to me you're a person who does anything she sets her mind to and that reminds me of myself. You help me to not give up everyday and I thought that you could help me with this. Thanks so much! j~
Sometimes I do not have time to work out in the mornings due to my schedule. When I run at night I feel really nauseous with a headache that progressively gets worse as the night goes on. I don't want to eat that late at night. Is there something I am doing wrong or is there something I can do to counteract? BTW I love the show and love all the workout videos! Anyone out there reading this who does not have Jackie's workout videos, seriously get them, they work! Honestly I felt results quicker than any other video, class, personal trainer, or any other workout method. Thank you Jackie!
I need help in a real bad way. I need to lose a lot of weight or I'm scared its going to kill me. I'm a single mother of a six year old little boy. All of my mothers family has died from heart problems...I have high blood pressure already...I'm so scared that I'm going to die soon if I don't. Get help!! I wake up with night sweats...can't walk up a thing of stairs without being out of breath for a. Short time later. Would love to play with my son more outside but can't without feeling like hell afterwards. As I write this feeling like I have hit rock bottom and this might be my last chance please help me!!! I don't want to die at a early age and leave my son. PLEASE HELP
Lacey: You can do this!!!! You have all the tools in your house. Like Jackie said, eat clean. I prepare a lot of chicken and fresh vegies on the weekend. I make sure I have the food I need. I exercise in my living room with Turbo jam, I do a lot of boxing and toning with bans and weights. I had a 2 year battle with breast cancer and got up to 183.5 pounds...during the show, I have already lost 14 pounds. You just have to make it a habit. And, right now, I love how this is taking the grey funk I was in and taking it away. My depression is gone. I can't wait to work out TODAY...and keep seeing the pounds go down...my secret desert is, a chocolate lowfat graham cracker, broke in two. Put a slice of banannas on each piece, put fat free whip cream on each piece, sprinkle with a little pineapple, strawberry, drizzle with a little choc. syrup, cut a a cherry on top ,wha la...a mini decadent delight. I only have this as my afternoon snack, if I work out hard....Good Luck. If I can do it, you can two. I'm having surgery in Jan. and I want the fat gone...That is a short term goal...it helps. And, prayer, yes, it does help. LoriLouise
