PART 2: Surf and Repeat

Clients will move down to the water’s edge for Part 2 of their workout in the surf.

Station #1 – Surf Dodge and Sprint

From the top of the water line, clients will sprint to the waters edge as the tide recedes and race back to the top of the water line as the water rushes back up the beach.

Safety Notes:

1.       Clients will be wearing sneakers and workout clothes to not hinder their mobility.

2.       Sand is hard and they will be running with or against the incline of the beach.

3.       If clients fall, they land in ankle deep water.

FINAL Station – “Pull Your Own Weight

Out in the surf are 8 buoys.  Each client is told to stand in front of the buoy with his or her initials.  Attached to the buoy, on the floor of the ocean, is a net filled with weights totaling the amount each client wants to lose.  Using the rope in the sand, they are to pull the weight to shore.  Once on shore, clients must drag their bags back to their mat on the beach.

         Safety Notes:

1.       Sand is firm but still soft to get leverage.

2.       Clients are instructed to use their arms and legs.

3.       Form is key

4.       Completion is not necessary.

I love the show and do your workout, Power Circuit Total body and see results. I would love to learn more and have more cardio in that workout. I am trying to lose that last 10 pounds and I am getting very frustrated. I think the hardest part for me is the nutritional aspect of it. I watched last night and saw those weighted vests and have been looking for one just like that but can't find it. Can you tell me where to get that one? I want one that is 20 or 16 pounds. Please email me or if I can order one from your website I will. Thank you and keep up the good work, you are truly changing lives!!

The one that drinks to much..OMG, I died laughing! The whole show is inspiring just wish there were more episodes on..like a daily blog from each person on the show to inspire us, or let us know someone else feels as fat and out of shape. Hi Ashley,

Anyone with an Exercise Physiology degree can properly direct you. If you are not sure where to get started, call your local college and talk to the Exercise Physiology department professors. Any of them should be happy to give you guidance in how to get in touch with those who can properly train you. Definitely, stick with COLLEGE educated Exercise Physiologists, even if you go so far as to hire a Personal Trainer.

Hope this is helpful, and best of success! You're 50% there already by asking these questions :-)

I thoroughly enjoyed your show! I am so looking forward to the next episode. I found the info on sugar very interesting. Thank you for calling that to the attention of many fans. How lucky the participants are to have this wonderful opportunity. God Bless!

I love your show! I am following the routines and workouts and recreating them for myself. I am a yoga instructor and lead a pretty average life of eating well and working out. But I love the challenge it is encouraging for me to mix it up for my clients! You have a passion to change people's lives and I wish their were more people like you! I can't wait to watch the rest of the season.. and I do agree sugar is the enemy!

AMAZING inspiration, Jackie! Thank you for letting all of us know that we CAN do this, no matter what our "excess baggage" may be (phyiscally and emotionally). I'm 6 months away from my 40th birthday and to get my 30-year-old (pre-child) body back would be the best thing I could do for myself. Woring nights and being a stay-at-home mom of two kids under the age of 5 has done a number for my energy level. But after watching your show, I now have the confidence to loose the 20lbs. I have as my weight loss goal. I've copied and pasted all of your workout and eating tips to a personal email to myself. I will not only be able to carry it around with me on my phone, but I will print it out, place it on the fridge and begin this emotional process with my husband, knowing that in the end, we will love ourSELVES as much as we love each other.

I have been a "fat kid" my whole life. Sure I would follow a fad diet and loose some weight but I always gained it back. I work as a plus size model for Torrid and I am a theatre actress but I am FINALLY ready to shed the pounds. I am so inspired by Jackie Warner!! I am going out and buying her book tomorrow. I am so sick of hearing, "You have such a pretty face." Well I want everything about me to be "Hot and Healthy" Man I would LOVE to be a on this show! Thank you to the cast for sharing your journey with us and thank you to Jackie for giving me a wakeup call.

I have a question, maybe you can help me out. 12 years ago I lost my leg due to a doctors error. I went through the normal rehab, and maintained my weight for awhile. Then as age increased so did the weight. I have tried to go and work out and ask so call trainers to help give me an idea of what someone with an above knee amputee with out a quad and the give me a blank look. I was in shape and have been an athlete prior to this now the person I see is an over weight person with no idea what too do. I watched your show prior to this and others and everything I see is running, climbing leg lunges and so forth. I know I could do it if someone could just show me, but were do I go. I just wish someone could address people like myself. That life gave them a bad hand, but not all of us want to sit back and play the disabled card and fall into a world of poor me. I am aware I have not helped the matter and I am not going to say I eat nothing and I don't know how this weight came on. But you fall in a rut when you have been active and now no one can tell you what you can do actively to help along with eating right. I have changed my calorie intake and still very little change and what I do loose does not look like much because nothing is toned. Do you have any suggestions? I so want to figure this out so I can get healthy and fit again. Please help!

If anything, Jackie should expose the simple truth about weight... you have to burn more than you take in. If you have some problem that makes you burn less, you have to work harder and take in fewer calories. But, and I hope you are reading this Katrina, it isn't anything that you can't do in your living room. It doesn't take money. In fact... it is cheaper to be thin than it is to be fat. I've personally lost 170 lbs, so I know.

What was far less than inspirational was watching a bunch of fat people calling each other fat and criticizing each others fat as if their excuses were somehow more valid or understandable than another's. I haven't decided yet, but it may be a good reason to tune out of what I thought would be an enjoyable and motivational show.

My name is Keisha, I'm 27 and I've been thinking about the premire all night. It's so inspiring, but how do us(people less fortunate), with less money and abilities to have this fabulous opportunity really do it? I need the push, the help, i have the will, and the strive, so how do I begin? I did throw the sugar chore into affect. I'm going to continue to watch, and absolutely cheer on all of you.

I think you are awesome! I wish I could afford to have you come to my house and teach me how to use all the equipment I have to reach my weight loss goals. I had a gym membership and a personal trainer, but since my son passed away, I don't want to go anywhere but home and work. You seem to have the "in your face" attitude that motivates me. You rock!

Hi Jackie, Just watching your first show has had such a effect on me, I am a middle aged woman who has several health problems but I am not ready to through in the towel yet because I have 2 wonderful grown children that really need me.

I have COPD yes because of smoking, I am a insulin dependent diabetic, I have Chrone's disease, and I have a colostomy, If there was one wish that I could have it would be to have your guidence to lose 40ils, my GI doctor would like me to have surgery on my colostomy to reatach it and there is a surgeon that she has recommended me to go to and as a matter of fact he did surgery on me last Oct. to remove my gallbladder, but I am so afraid I will not make through the surgery because of the complications I had with the first surgery, I do not want to come across as a pity case, I just want to feel life back into me.

It's been a long road for me and I see the passion that you have for these people that you are helping I just wish I was one of them, God Bless you, and I look forward to wathching your show.

I was so inspired tonight by watching the show. Unfortunantly, I have been struggling with a weight issue for the past 2 years. I have always been confidant with how I looked and felt but, going through alot in the past 2 years has really taken a toll on my health as well as my mental status. I did however, in that time frame meet someone that I never thaught I would meet in my life. Which is my soulmate. When I met him I was a size 7. Now, I am a size 12. I am so very unhappy with myself it is'nt even funny. When watching the show tonight it really made me feel good inside. Not only for them on the show but for myself. It felt like I was there, and so badly inside do I want to be there..I know that I am not famous or have lots of money but I do know I have the heart and the will to succeed on that diet and workout with her. I think she is so awsome and it is very apparent she knows what she is doing. I wish I had something like that around here to motivate me. I am truely excited to watch the season and what happens with everyone. I will also try and get the book to try and see what I can do to help myself. Good Luck to all of the cast and I really hope you succeed in this blessing of a strive for life!!!
