WHERE TO SHOP
Nashville’s prime shopping and nightlife area, known as the District, emanates from the T formed by Second Avenue and Broadway. At Hatch Show Print, a Nashville institution for more than a century, you can buy vintage or new posters, hand-cranked for you on a letterpress. If money is no object, go further down Broadway to Manuel Exclusive Clothier, where you can see classic custom rhinestone jackets of the sort Manuel Martinez has designed for country and rock royalty for decades, and even have Manuel design one for you. It’ll cost several thousand and take three to four weeks, but you can still get the Manuel look from his newer, modestly-priced ready-to-wear line.

WHERE TO WIND DOWN
Make reservations at the Bluebird Café, launching pad of many a country career, where songwriters try out new material before a hushed, appreciative audience.

Another good Nashville restaurant is Sperry's. The chef there used to live in Mississippi I believe and was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. It's in a cute area of Nashville, and they have a band sometimes. Really good food and atmosphere though.

I am a current resident of Nashville and I love my city! Keep a look out for Nashville's newest addition to "the scene" of town... DUREGO, the luxury source. Check out www.durego.net. It will surely be a destination spot for residents and tourist alike!

I grew up around the Nashville area, attended college there and still live close. I absolutely love the city! When hockey is going on, another place to visit it a Nashville Predators hockey game is is so much fun! A few good places to eat are the Sub Shop on Broadway and 17th Ave., Broadway Brewhouse and Mojo (there are 2), and Rippy's. Rippy's has awesome bar-b-que. The country music hall of fame is another neat place to visit. Nashville is a true southern city full of what we southerners like to call "Southern Hospitality!"
