Foodie Fact: Chef Tracht is nationally known for her pot roast and offers regular classes for anyone who wants to know how to cook it at home. The dish is on the menus at Jar and Tracht all year ‘round, which is a departure for the chef who is otherwise passionate about cooking with the seasons.

Foodie Fact: The name Annisa was chosen by the chef and her partner to name their restaurant because, although it shows up in many languages, they liked that in English it is derived from "Anne," which means gracious and pure, and in Arabic, it is derived from the word for women.

Foodie Fact: Chef Chiarello learned very early in his life to cook Italian food from Italian immigrant parents in California’s Central Valley. He says he was raised in Calabrian traditions of food and family.
