Nicknamed "Frankie the Bull" by his fellow contestants, Frank says that all of the food from the first season of Top Chef was too frou frou with not enough substance. In his own words, "I can bang out 100 amazing dishes per night, while others are still fiddling around with their presentations." Frank began working in a kitchen at the age of ten, at his uncle's Italian restaurant. Today, he is the executive chef at Delicias Restaurant.
Frank says too many chefs lack the dedication to be great and he is sure that given the chance, his passion will put him above the competition. A creative chef who doesn't even own a measuring cup, Frank can sing Italian Opera and speaks fluent Portuguese, Italian and Spanish. He is currently working on his Sicilian cookbook, "The No Hacks Guide to the Kitchen by Frankie the Bull."
