Part 2:
You know, the Good Morning, Vietnam, making Vietnamese food, that seemed less inspired to me. If you're going to do Good Morning, Vietnam, you know, you gotta do, you know, call Robin Williams' agent, find out what his favorite foods are or you know and do like the craft services on that movie using only produce that you can find in Southeast Asia because that's what they'd be cooking. That to me shows someone who's thinking, a lot. But it would be interesting if these people really thought in that vain. You know, unfortunately, what became evident when Spike and Manuel came out is that Manuel felt insecure about the challenge. I could see him saying, "OK -- let me let him take the lead on this, because if our team fails, one of us is going home, and if I don't do as much, if something on the plate is wrong, then he'll go home."
Unfortunately, we tend to reward adventurousness on Top Chef, and we tend to appreciate really stretching your limits as a chef and as a creative thinking person, and, you know, when we interviewed them at the table a little bit, it became evident that he just kind of took a backseat for whatever reason, and that's not OK because you're the chef, and as a chef, you need to lead.
Padma! I am a big fan of yours and the show. I have followed you since Globe Trekkers. I know how busy you are now with the baby, show, and everything else. If you ever need an assistant to help you juggle everything I am your gal! Serious! Take care and see you on Wed.
I just noticed the long scar on Padma's right arm. What happened? I am new to this site so I might have missed the explanation.
How this? a new food reality show: Top Chef vs The Next Food Network Star.......ok, Tom C & Bob T........put your heads together......yeah and get a round table and let Bobby Flay, Padma, Gail, Eric and Susie sit in judgement........oh yeah, let Ted Allen and Alton Brown do commentary............

Hi .. always assit Top Chef, I love this program, because after eating is good too ... and who can cook, certainly has a gift because I am a disaster in the kitchen!! ;D And I was thinking that in all kinds of food there are challenges, but I believe that no challenge is greater than in light and diet food. I'm diabetic, I know what I'm talking about, as everything that comes to diet and light, and often set off money, because the food is horrible, especially because a food is very bland, no salt, no fat, no sugar , No nothing! Tops Chefs Will this increase could not taste the eye and palate? A season light and diet would be a great challenge, and inspirardor to a wider audience. translated by google ;D

Everyone on the show pronounces Padma in a hilarious way. They say pad-ma which in Hindi means FART-MOTHER. The correct way to say it is pud-ma. It is like people on TV are telling their mothers to fart.
