Hi, All --
My apologies for not blogging last week or this week. The holidays are a very busy time at the restaurants and, of course, with my family. Thanks for checking in, and I look forward to writing again, about upcoming episodes.
Meanwhile, I hope you and yours have had happy holidays, and I wish you all a very happy, healthy, and fulfilling New Year.

I have ZERO respect left for you and your opinion after keeping Josie on this long. SHE HAD HER CHANCE back in the day. Every week she is on the bottom, has yet to produce anything to show her worth, yet you keep her on, and one less deserving chef loses their chance-- WHICH THEY EARNED when they tried out for this show.
YOU are losing THOUSANDS of viewers every week with this foolish decision to ignore THE WORST CHEF on the show, just keeping her on so we can all cringe at home. If someone is on the bottom 5x, SEND THEM HOME. But instead, send someone home that is on the bottom FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME.
Love watching Top Chef - just wish you guys could be a bit more sustainable. Instead of using plastic and styrofoam during tasting - using recycled paper plates and real silverware would be a bit more gentle on the earth.
my favorite part is seeing chef colicchio on lck because we get to see the normal every day side of him instead of the judge.
I am waiting for you to do a Top Chef with those of us who aren't famous for the restaurants they cook in! You know, Top Chef: Home Cookin', or something like that. I'd win that for sure. My food might not always have the best presentation, but I enjoy cooking food that tastes great (from scratch), and I love to feed people! So what do ya say, Tom? A Top Chef for ordinary folk? Sounds like a winner! Maybe the winner could receive money/guidance toward opening a restaurant of their own. I've always wanted to open a restaurant with a limited breakfast/lunch menu, and no dinner menu. You know...Just like home.
Hoover925 Tom judges a show that does just that. Home cooks compete to be the winner. I think it's called Master Chef, I've seen some episodes and it's pretty good.
Happy New Year!!! Now, get rid of Josie before there is a riot!
Top Chef is great show but it does show the one thing that bothers me about going out to eat. The episode using foil, I believe it was Bart that used his head to shape a bowl with foil to be used to prepared food. Not a good thing to do. And back in the final episode of Top Chef Texas, the female contestant in competition against Paul. Great to see she had gloves on, right up to the point where she ran her hands thru her hair. I never saw her get rid of the gloves. There have many times a chef has used the spoon or utensil to taste and kept using it to stir or cook. Sometimes I think the people at the fast food places do better then the fancy places. The people taking money (for the most part) only take money and the food handlers have gloves, hats and seem to do better. So how do I as customer get to feel safe when going out to eat?

I know, my son orders his steak medium rare but if it comes to him rare he will not send it back, to afraid what will happen. He just won't eat, he won't complain or anything like that, and he won't return there.
Happy Holidays to you and yours as well! Thanks for making Top Chef the one show I will NOT miss!

Thank you Tom! And Happy New to You, Padma and Gail....love you guys and love the show! I'm a Big Big fan! However, I totally agree with caitratch......GET RID OF FREAKING JOSIE! WTF? She Is lousy and this is not her first go round. I've watched the show from it's inception.....and the Voltaggio brothers were fantastic! In fact, I live in MD and have been to Volt, which is Brian's restaurant....fantastic! That's the kind of cooking I'd like to see on the show again. That is what Top Chef is in my opinion. BTW, Tom I think you're hot! I also think the Asian girl is your best chef and should win....but get rid of Josie....
