Isaac Takes On... Jeremy: Finale, Part 2

Top Chef season 13 winner, Jeremy Ford recently reunited with his fellow season 13 competitor, Isaac Toups for Bravo's new digital series, Isaac Takes On... The two chefs faced off one more time and were challenged with creating a delicious 3-course meal. Watch the video above and find out who was crowned the challenge's winner!

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef Season 21 Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

We recently caught up with Jeremy to hear his thoughts on reuniting with Isaac and to find out what he's been up to since season 13 (the answer might surprise you)...

Bravotv.com: How did it feel being reunited with Isaac on Isaac Takes On...?

Jeremy Ford: Filming Top Chef created some really cool friendships, but when we left it was very difficult with all of our schedules to stay in touch as much as we wanted. So going back and getting to see Isaac was an awesome feeling. It felt like summer camp again :)

Bravotv.com: How did it feel competing against Isaac again?

JF: Honestly, competing is definitely not something I'm putting at the top of my list LOL. It's a lot of pressure that my old ass doesn't like.

Bravotv.com: What was your favorite experience or best memory of Isaac Takes On...?

JF: I could have told anybody that after I met Isaac something amazing would happen, and this show is right up his alley. My favorite part was getting to catch up and talk s*** to each other like the good, old days.

Bravotv.com: What’s changed for you since winning the title of Top Chef?

JF: There has been some significant changes since my win. Amazing opportunities, both national and international, have come from winning the toughest cooking competition on television. One of the most rewarding things for my family and I was me being able to leave Matador Room and take a break for a little while and enjoy life...which is my current status :-)

Bravotv.com: What is your biggest takeaway from your time on Top Chef?

JF: For me, the biggest thing I can take from winning Top Chef is having the confidence to put yourself out there and trust that the food and philosophy of what we believe in can carry us anywhere in this business.

Bravotv.com: What would you say are the biggest upsides and downsides of competing on Top Chef?

JF: The upside of the competition is that when you sit in your living room and watch the television show, you always think that it's completely impossible to get through some of these hectic challenges; however, when you're in the moment, the ideas just start flowing and it's an amazing feeling. The downside is you can't speak to anyone that you love or care about for an extended amount of time and this can distract you from the prize.

Bravotv.com: What is the most challenging cooking experience you’ve ever had?

JF: The most challenged I have ever been in my career was cooking against a dozen other chefs to get hired for an executive chef position with one of the most acclaimed chefs in the world Jean-Georges...oh yeah and there was that one double service on Restaurant Wars!!!!

Bravotv.com: What are you working on now?

JF: I am now working on a restaurant with an amazing hospitality group that I am so excited for!!!

Catch the full season of Isaac Takes On..., as Isaac goes head-to-head with the ship's most talented chefs and face off against local chefs along the way for fun, new cooking challenges -- see how he stacks up against some of the world's best chefs.
