Thank you Bravo and thank you Padma for this behind the scenes view. It was definitely a highlight of the season.
Help Padma! For the second time this season Nyesha Harrington and her dish were NOT shown during the quickfire challenge. What gives?
I didn't realize that either. I thought it was a stupid move when I first saw them skipping out Quickfire contestants on Top Chef Canada. So it happens in regular Top Chef as well. That is really too bad.
Padma, I love your unscripted, off the cuff video blogs! I'm glad you mentioned that you were a little tipsy, because I wondered how anyone could get through all those tequila pairings without getting s*faced. Ever since your 'motorboat' comment of last season, I knew you were much more than a pretty face! Keep it up and keep surprising us!
I sat at home thinking, how is she still standing with all that "Tekillya" in her. Good job Padma! lol
Gail, are you as sick and tired of bullies and unprofessional attitudes in the Top Chef Kitchen. What is up with these creeps'; Can't Bravo cast people who genuinely care for their craft. No professional chef is admired for being a mean spirited crass and boorish bully.
Padma any chance next year Top Chef will screen the new contestants and weed out the mean spirited bullies; who needs them and who cares about them. No one in the real world of foodies that is for sure.
I'm a HUGE fan of Top Chef since Season 1!! I live just two blocks away from Bryan's Grocery store where you guys would go wild in there...it was amazing!!! I said to myself "what crazy reality show is this now", to only know it was Top Chef San Francisco!!!! Congrats.
Season after season, I've seen a lot of challenges and have not seen too many with a Mexican theme unless Chef Rick Bayless is making a cameo. Being of mixed race (Mexican/Chinese) growing up, my family own(ed) many restaurants (although not a professional chef, just an amateur foodie that has had the opportunity to dine in some of the best restaurants in the world such as The French Laundry, El Bulli, Le Jules Verne to name just a few...) I've always wondered if Mexican gastronomy could ever be a fusion concept with another culture!? I have been cooking a lot more these past few months due to the inspiration from the Texas season, but have always wondered about a fusion challenge!!!! Could a fan have an opportunity to be a judge and sit in the presence of royalty (Chef Colicchio, Gail, and yourself??)
Why are you guys going so easy on the chefs this season, its almost like you know they are all not that great so you have lowered your standards. Even though you guys like Bev's cooking, she should be able to cook other types of food to be a top chef or to make it so far in the competetion. Please tell me someone cant go all the way cooking asian food! The show is loosing its credibility this season.
Dearest Padma, Can we get back to the cooking on Top Chef puhleeze? I might as well go back to Rachel Ray and the Fieri guy.
Isnt it time to get a new female judge on the panel-I mean, one who can really cook? It would be great to have a female chef there.
JUST WANTED TO KNOW THE JEWELRY DESIGNER OF THE GORGEOUS GOLD CUT-OUT CUFF BRACELET YOU WEAR IN THE TOP CHEF TEXAS INTRO AND ON OTHER OCCASIONS DURING THE SHOW. THANKS
I'm soooo disappointed that your final four had to do a ridiculous physical challenge......this isn't Olympics....its Top Chef remember???? Sara sucks....sorry but Bev should of won easily! Make the final challenges about cooking NOT shooting/skiing/etc. REALLY!!!!! Early in the competition that's fine, but NOT in the END!!
Really disappointed....Sara sucks....Bev should of earned her spot easily.
