Following the publication of a piece titled "Open Letter to (Male) Chefs" written by Tom Colicchio, the Top Chef judge admits that sexual harassment extends far beyond the confines of the kitchen. As the list grows of men in powerful positions who have been accused of sexual misconduct, the chef has some thoughts about how we can all make the work environment better for women in all fields.
The Feast caught up with the chef at the "A Conversation with the Host and Judges of Bravo’s Top Chef" event, held at the 92nd Street in NYC on Tuesday, during which he shared what the response has been to his open letter, as well as the steps he thinks people in all industries can take to safeguard women from this type of behavior.
