"It Wasn't Me!"
It sure was, Chef Puck! Just because you didn't like Laurine's attempt at bacon donuts (which we would totally try in a heartbeat), doesn't mean you should throw them across the room!
-
Ashley Tackles the Gay Marriage Debate
When the chefs were asked to cater a poolside bachelor/bachelorette party for an engaged couple, Ashley wasn't about to keep quiet. Being an openly gay woman, she didn't understand how the chefs could be asked to cook for an event leading to an institution in which she and some of her competitors are not allowed to take part. We understood her issues with the challenge, but Tom's comments on the subject were pretty convincing too.
-
The Gang Cooks for the Troops
We admit it — we usually cry at fairly dumb parts of the show, like during last season's "Last Supper" episode. Jacques Pepin was introduced and we pretty much lost it. But this season, we don't feel as silly about getting choked up. To hear our servicemen talk about how much the chefs' cooking for them mean to them was truly a highlight of all six seasons of the show.
-
Mon Dieu! It's Joel Robuchon!
Eli thought he was a unicorn. Well, he isn't, and now the chefs have proof. The excitement/nausea the chefs felt cooking for the "Chef of the Century" was palpable, and just as exciting from our couches!
-
Top Chef = City Slickers?
Who knew making the chefs sleep in tents would make them so grouchy? Oh well. This episode produced a lot of ceviches, and Mattin's was so bad, Tom spit it out!
-
Eli vs. Robin: It's On!
Um, yeah, so Robin had her fair share of problems with the others chefs, but no one as much as Eli. When Robin makes a comment about Eli cleaning up after himself in the kitchen, Eli informs Robin that she's not his mother. Yikes! Even Mike I. gets in on the action calling Robin "Rotten Robin," which was equally catchy and mean.
-
The Best Restaurant Wars Restuarant EVER!
Um, we're going to assume Tom did not throw that superlative at Team Revolt wily-nilly, and damn it we believed him! It sent chills down our spine and prompted us to create this.
-
A Prick in the What?!
Padma looks happy doesn't she? That's because she just made a super-dirty comment about Bryan Voltaggio's vegetarian dish starting as a "little prick" and becoming "big in her mouth." This banter went on for a good minute or so, leaving us laughing and blushing.
-
... in Bed
Everything's better in bed, including Padma and Nigella Lawson! Although it looked like Bryan was the only one to giggle when he came in to see the two foodie beauties in robes under the covers, we're pretty sure a few boys and girls who love girls were too!
-
The Chosen Ones.
Perhaps you knew since the very first episode and are finally cashing in on your office pool, but it was a long (and sometimes strange) road to produce this season's Final Four, eliminating a very persistent Robin, and 12 other very accomplished cheftestants. We're going to bet the finale will produce some pretty delicious moments, so stay tuned!
