California Driver Pulls Over to Save Rabbit from Raging Wildfires

The motorist practiced extreme kindness and put himself at risk to make the rescue.

A California driver who pulled over on a wildfire-licked freeway in Ventura County to rescue a wild rabbit has yet to be identified, but video footage of his worried attempts to grab the bunny has become a symbol of simple compassion in a crisis.

The man "instantly restored our faith in humanity," reported CNN.

Multiple wildfires have ripped through Southern California, causing damage to over 100,000 acres and forcing the evacuation of homes including those owned by Paris Hilton and Lea Michele.
