Chrissy Teigen’s Beloved Bulldog Puddy Passes Away; Read Her Heartbreaking Tribute

“It’s true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time in ours.”

Back in November, everybody’s favorite person, Chrissy Teigen, announced that her beloved bulldog Puddy had experienced heart failure. After rushing him to the ER and fearing the worst, she was beyond relieved to announce that he was in recovery.

She shared a video on her Twitter a few days later, saying, “My BABY IS BACK!!!!!!! Bulldog you made me cry harder than any other living being ever has. My old man monster I love you." Then she added, “...he does have a tumor on his heart and he's basically a 70 year old man beast but I am so happy to have him home right now…”

Miraculously, Puddy enjoyed four more months living in the lap of the Legends — but today, he tragically crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Chrissy shared a heartbreaking tribute to her 10-year-old Bully — whom she has referred to as her “first born” — on her Instagram:

"Today our baby, Puddy, has gone on to the pup heavens. John and I got Puddy in our first year of dating, when I convinced him half-birthday presents were a real thing. 10 years ago, on May 30th, I found the dog that would be there for us through every up, down, new house, new city, new tour, new travel. He welcomed new pups and loved on new babies and new bellies. He was there for everything. Every time I needed a taste tester, someone to kiss or needed to sob into his stinky rolls, he was there. It’s true what they say. We are their entire lives and it is the greatest shame that they can only bless us with a short spark of time in ours. I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us. I feel the hole now. I will love you forever, my boy. My heart aches. Thank you so much for everything, everything."

She followed up her homage with two more Instagram posts, both of which showcased that gentle trademark Teigen humor that we are sure Puddy loved.

“not many people know this but puddy is survived by his wife, Pippa. yes, they were married,” Chrissy posted.

And an insanely sweet video of Puddy licking baby Luna’s toes, with “I love you. I will miss you every day.”

Beyond his wife Pippa, Puddy is survived by two other puppy brethren, Penny and Pepper, as well as Chrissy, John, little Luna, and baby Legend-to-be. Our hearts go out to all of them.
