Kate Middleton has been laying very low with a difficult third pregnancy, but was welcomed back into the spotlight by an adorable therapy puppy. Bear, a Bichon Frise and poodle mix who is training to be a therapy dog, greeted the Duchess of Cambridge at her visit to the Reach Academy in England. Here he is back in October:
And, today, slightly bigger, fluffier and ready for royalty.
She inquired how Bear's training was going as she pet him, which both delighted and slightly mortified Bear's parent Karen Howard.
“My main concern was he’d been digging all morning and he’s really dirty," she told The Telegraph. "He wasn’t too bad, he’s been really naughty all morning."
She also met the school's guinea pig and chickens, but Howard noted the Duchess' particular praise of Bear: "She said ‘he’s a really fluffy dog.’ She said he was really cute and really well behaved. She was very interested to hear about therapy dogs and the children were telling her ‘the dog makes us really happy.’"
The Reach Academy later Tweeted out a thank you, saying, "Bear is still really excited!"
