The Winner of the 142nd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Is ...

This breed has only nabbed the big title one other time in the history of the dog show.

It was another wild year at Westminster and we couldn't wait until morning to share the results with you.

To recap, the 142nd Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, had the following finalists competing in Best in Show:

  • HOUND: Borzoi "Lucy"
  • TOY: Pug "Biggie"
  • NON-SPORTING: Bichon Frise "Flynn"
  • HERDING: Border Collie "Slick"
  • SPORTING: Sussex Spaniel "Bean"
  • WORKING: Giant Schnauzer "Ty"*
  • TERRIER: Norfolk Terrier "Winston"

And the big winner was GCHP CH Belle Creek's All I Care About Is Love aka "Flynn," the Bichon Frise. When the hander, Bill McFadden was asked what was next, he promptly answered, "I'll have to check with the owners but I'm pretty sure I can drop the mic and say he's retired."

Yup, Flynn, you earned it. And to the other dogs that competed (and the ones that didn't), you all deserve a ribbon, a trophy and a brand-new squeaky toy.

*The Giant Schnauzer "Ty" was awarded the Reserve Best in Show.
