Kristen: James' Aggression Wasn't Surprising at All
Kristen Doute opens up about her explosive argument with James Kennedy.
Bravotv.com: Did you think you and James would have such a heated exchanged when he came to your apartment to pick up the rest of his belongings?
Kristen Doute: James's aggression wasn't surprising at all. He had been a ticking time bomb for so many months and has zero impulse control.
Bravotv.com: What are your thoughts on James spitting on your door after your fight?
KD: He has spit on ME in the past, so spitting on my door really shouldn't have shocked me. I've tried to have a calm demeanor when it came to handling him, but enough was enough. I don't allow anyone, especially my ex-boyfriend, to waltz in to my apartment shouting and name calling.
Bravotv.com: In this episode we meet James' mom and James gets very upset when they discuss the divorce between his parents, which he says is causing him to drink more. Do you think that's also why he is lashed out at you at your apartment?
KD: I think James likes to use any downfall in his day as an excuse for his behavior. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree - both he and his mother are very similar. James is a master of manipulation.
Bravto.com: You reveal to Jax that you have a date with yacht captain, Aleks coming up. How did the two of you meet?
KD: Aleks and I had been friends for a year and a half. I was really desperate for a serving job so I asked Aleks if he would hire me. Clearly my balance isn't the greatest and shouldn't be working on a boat. Haha.
No, but seriously, we have been great friends and once I became single he asked me, very gentlemanly on a date!
Bravotv.com: Jax told you that Brittany wasn't moving in with him, but then later in the episode we see Jax tell Brittany that he wants her to stay with him. Do you think this is typical Jax behavior? Are you worried that he's rushing into things?
KD: Don't mark my words, but I see a change in Jax. Whether it is age, experience or something about Brittany I had definitely noticed a difference in Jax's demeanor. I wasn't surprised that Jax and Brittany moved as quickly as they did but for once I felt it could be the right move! Britt fit in to our group so well and brings a calmness to him.
