Jax Taylor Actually Admitted to Cheating on Girlfriend Brittany Cartwright — Here's Why
"It was one of those things that was eating me up inside as it is," the Vanderpump Rules pal said.
We're still picking our jaws up off the floor after those rumors came out that Jax Taylor had cheated on his girlfriend Brittany Cartwright with former SURver Faith Stowers in the season premiere of Vanderpump Rules. And then Jax had to go and blow our minds again in Monday night's episode.
How is it possible for Jax to shock us even more, you ask? Well, instead of denying the allegations, as we've seen him do in the past, he actually owned up to his behavior and admitted to Brittany that, yes, he did cheat on her with Faith.
So what inspired Jax to turn over this new leaf? "I think over the seasons, everyone's like, 'Oh, Jax, you're a liar.' I think everything that I've said always comes out. I've always owned everything that I've done," Jax recently shared with Bravotv.com (clip above). "So I've done this in the past where I've denied. It doesn't really do anything. I didn't want to lie about it. It was one of those things that was eating me up inside as it is. And I just wanted to own it. You know what, there's no point in lying at my age. I didn't think it was gonna get anywhere with it. I did this already. This was bad enough. At least I can own up to it right away."
Of course, hearing the opinions of just about everyone in the Vanderpump Rules crew on his relationship hasn't exactly been helpful in trying to overcome this hurdle. "It's obviously gonna be an uphill battle. I feel like I'm not just dating Brittany; I'm dating the whole group," Jax said. "For some reason, everybody likes to put their two cents in. I feel like everybody takes their relationships out on me. Everybody on our show, everybody on our show, has done exactly what I've done to the T, if not more. It just so happens that I'm the target, but whatever. Maybe because I can deal with it and I can take it, because I just don't care."
Ultimately, Jax wants fans to know that he and Brittany still care about each other deeply and are committed to making their relationship work. "Brittany and I, we're working through our issues. We're actually in a really good place right now. I love her very much. I don't plan on going anywhere. She's not getting rid of me yet. I'm not getting rid of her," he gushed. "I want to be with her for the rest of my life. We had some hiccups, as you'll see, but we'll get past it like anything else. I just want people to be nice to her. She's such a sweet, kind person. She doesn't deserve me, let alone all this other crap. So I just want people to be nice to her. That's what I want, mostly."
