Andy Cohen knows how to vacation well — from his A-list-studded friend-cations in Tahiti to bopping around Brazil with his BFF. But on his latest trip, you might say his travel luck went right into the toilet.
It seems Andy was on a Delta Airlines flight from New York to Nice, Italy when a passenger broke the onboard loo. The incident was severe enough that the plane had to turn around — although it was only two hours away from Europe — and return to New York City for repairs. This meant that after seven hours on a flight to nowhere, everyone had to deplane in NYC and return to the airport the next day.
Why not just keep going at that point, you might ask? Well, apparently the airline was better staffed to handle the maintenance issue in the states.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host wasn't too tickled about any of it, either — although of course he maintained his signature humor while sharing the whole experience on social media. He posted updates via his Instagram Stories, sharing: “How’s this? We were two hours outside of Europe, somebody pooped or put something down the toilet that it didn’t go and broke the toilets. We had to turn around to fix the f---ing toilet.”
He added, “To the person on the Delta flight to Nice that put a foreign object down the toilet… tell me who you are because we’re going to find you…"
He also shared a rhetorical poll to ask friends and fans, "Is the guy who stopped up the toilet taking personal responsibility for ruining the flight for 300 people and wasting a day of our time?"
It's a rather s---ty way to start a vacation (ahem) — but at least Andy provided some laughs for his fans along the way. You gotta laugh so you don't cry, right? Especially true, it seems, for modern air travel.
