Tuesday Belongs to Rachel
Tonight is the season finale of The Rachel Zoe Project.
This is going to be a rambly blog, so just be warned....
Tonight is the season finale of The Rachel Zoe Project and to celebrate, I'm going to try to lay eyes on the lady this afternoon in L.A. Just to say hey and get real and go deep. By the way, did you see the fab New York Times Style section piece about Brad on Sunday? It was phenom.
Oh and Zoila and Cheff (that would be "Jeff") have it OUT tonight and there's a sweet ending to the whole episode that's worth the price of admission. (Oh I guess it's free, but it is worth more than that.) And speaking of TV, I saw a trailor for Hawaii Five-O the other day that kinda blew me away, especially considering its a network cop show. (Network cop shows aren't usually my thing.) CBS was so smart to bring that back -- the theme music alone makes me want to watch.
I am so glad that Oprah and Jonathan Franzen have made up, and that she chose Freedom as her first book club pick of the season. I love me some sad, disatisfied suburban angst, and this book delivers that and more. I also just read a great book called One Day. It is a love story and each chapter takes place on the same day in a different year. I dug it.
Last night, we went to Red O, Top Chef Masters season one winner Rick Bayless' new place in West Hollywood. It's getting all sorts of rave reviews and the food was great. I can't decide if I found the decor beautiful or expensively ugly, but I absolutely enjoyed the L.A.-ness of sitting at the table next to Kato Kaelin all night. If this is the superhot new place, and Kato is there -- what does it all mean?
I really hope the Senate does the right thing today regarding "Don't Ask Don't Tell." This is 2010, everybody! We need all the servicemen and women that are willing and able. Gay and Straight people have lived alongside each other in the military for as long as we've had one. I'm going to hope this goes to the next level and that reason prevails.
It's going to be a busy day and night in Los Angeles, so let me get to it. Stay tuned for a big announcement regarding upcoming guests on Watch What Happens Live!
