Angelina And The Osmonds
Andy Cohen sets the record straight.
I bookended my seder with pop culture. On the train to Amanda's family Seder in Harrison, I did some heavy reading so YOU won't have to.
I am speaking, of course, of the current US Magazine that takes a stand on it's cover that Angelina Jolie is some kind of horrible person. The cover says: Angelina Her Twisted Double Life: * Her broken promise to be a stay-at-home mom * Secret fights with Brad over Pax's adoption * How she uses her kids to manipulate the media
So I am here to tell you the article doesn't deliver. I know that's a shock, but I want to save you the 4 minutes that it may take you to carefully read this article by telling you that Angie is no worse than anyone else as far as I can tell. She supposedly told someone at some point that she maybe wouldn't do another movie for a while so she could look after her brood. But she's gonna do another movie. She supposedly fought with Brad over whether to adopt a kid so soon. I bet that's true. And they say every time there's bad press about her she trots the kids out and calls the paparazzi to take pics of her being a saint.
I admire the fact that she doesn't have a publicist. That was the most interesting thing I learned in the "article"....
When I got home last night after a lovely Seder, my "Donny and Marie" dvds were taunting me, wrapped in an Amazon container where they'd been laying for a couple weeks waiting for the right moment. Watching those two singin' smilin' mormons seemed like the perfect way to celebrate the Jew's Freedom. I stayed up way too late watching four episodes of the show. I actually smiled almost the whole time. So much about those two makes me so happy.
** I love their hair so much ** I love their voices ** I love their arrangements of disco and pop and country songs ** They are clean teens and I love that. They act like they don't have genitalia, and that is refreshing given the filthy poon that's thrown in our faces daily ** I LOVE their synchronized moves - this might be my fave. I LOVE how they move. The Osmonds. It's true I do. ** Donny is actually super-talented - he plays every instrument. He is talented and I don't want to hear a word of dispute. ** The teeth are truly magnificent.
I am going to a second seder tonight and am considering RE-watching the dvds when I get home.
