Andy Cohen takes us along as he party hops after TV's biggest night.
By now you've heard the news about cast changes in the RHONY. This was a very tough decision, made with much care and discussion. In the end we listened to the fans, who expressed a desire for new stories and a major change in a direction. I can't thank Jill, Alex, Kelly, and Cindy enough for all they gave to the show and I am hoping to work with each of them again in the future.
It was a full-on weekend in L.A. to celebrate the Emmys. Within 20 minutes of arriving here on Friday, I separately ran into Sarah and Trace. Is that nuts? Does that happen? So the weekend pretty much carried on in that tradition through to last night.
It won't come as headline news to hear that we lost. I'd say the moment after that happened everyone hit the deck and ran to the lobby bar. It was the other nominees in that category mashed together to discover they weren't serving booze during the show. DoubleBuzzkill. Seeing the Canadian Tenors brightened everybody's mood, and we rejoined around the time of the exciting "Mini-series and Specials" categories.
We hit the Governor's Ball and then hightailed it to see Stevie Nicks at the ET party. Stevie gave it hard and bangly and witchy with a set that opened with "Rihanna" and brought down the place with "Edge of Seventeen." Go see Stevie if you get the chance.
Post-"Landslide" was the Magical Elves party on Hollywod, and they always throw a good one. I saw someone fall down half a flight of stairs, so that was funny kinda... at the moment. From there, it was Jimmy Fallon's with Questlove DJing incredibly. They had an In-N-Out truck and a make-your-own Havianas stand. I got grey and yellow. (I wanted black and yellow, but they were out of black.)
Brand-new Beverly Hills Housewives and Dallas on tonight! Have a good day everybody.
