How is it possible that one day back at work could erase the massive chunk of time I spent at the beach? Yesterday was a big day, lots of decisions and planning and sorting and plotting. And fun. I am so lucky to work in TV -- it's what I always wanted, so I always try to keep that in mind!
I thought the back-to-back combo platter of Flipping Out and Rachel Zoe was delicious last night. It's great to have Rachel back on our air after what feels like way too long a break. I loved when Rodger said about the baby, "He's like no years old." Am I the only person that thinks Rachel and Rodger are Sonny and Cher-esque, by the way?
Speaking of Cher, I wish that "Dr." Keith Ablow and anyone else who is disparaging Chaz Bono appearing on DWTS would shut their freaking faces, look at their calendars, and join us in the 21st century. This is not a productive conversation. Someday (tomorrow? next week?) he's going to look back on this, and it'll seem like an antiquated debate. I salute DWTS for casting Chaz. I wanna see he and Ricki Lake go to the end. I think Ricki is the one to beat, by the way. That girl can dance, and she's really competitive.
Andy, I agree with you 100%! I am glad RHOBH is back on, the drama is way high already from the first episode. Rich people are definitely different and British rich people are even more so lol. I love Giggy, Lisa, Adrienne and the rest of the Beverly Hills gang. I was supposed to be at the taping for the Anderson Cooper show with the Beverly Hills 'Wive. I actually was given tickets to attend but I couldn't make it :-(
Chaz Bono and Ricki Lake are heroes. They have already overcome so many difficult obstacles in life .What's a little dance competition to them? PSHHH! I am rooting for the both of them...Go Chaz ...Go Ricki
I can tell by your tan you did a lot of book writing poolside..lol..you look great and well rested..ready to jump back in the drama..I had a great thought last night..you should have a competition show between the different housewives franchises...something that requires intelligence...perhaps a version of family feud..(it's not like that show really requires a great deal of intelligence) but a nice game of Housewives Feud would be funny as all get out (Kentucky slang)..Have a great day Andy!
it happens to us all, a great vaca or even a good few days off are wiped away the moment you step back into your reality. it's good you like what you do, it makes the 'erasure' all the more bearable. it's nice to know we all feel the same way on some of lifes realities. we are sending more rain your way, sorry!
i caught a sneak of chaz dancing last night on some cable show, wow, he can move. america may be in for a huge surprise.
Andy - I have 3 children and we used to LOVE to watch DWTS - ages 4-12. I now have to figure out how to explain how Chasity Bono - a girl - turned into Chaz Bono - a boy! Chew on that! I am slowly turning away from Bravo - I guess like u said - I am just antiquidated (sp?)! Yes - the fun innicence of Summer is OVER!
RE:SuzieQ....... If your children are that young... just say chaz is a boy.....if they are old enough (your decision) you could have an inteligent conversation about chaz being born a male but with female parts... ITS NOT HARD..... get over yourself.....
I love Zoila from flipping Out , waiting for her to get her own reality show:)) I want a zoila in my house :) she has such a great soul and loves how she tells Jeff how she feels right back at him:)) Keep it up Zoila :)) xoxo muuuuaaahhh
Really Andy, when your children are young, there is no need to explain anything to them about trans gender. I am sure the lady's twelve year old all ready learned about this subject in school. Now it's up to Chaz to dance his way to the top. Go Chaz and Ricky Lake!
I have no problem with Chaz's transformation. However, Chaz is not exactly eye candy. Why watch a chunky, unattractive guy try to dance just to prove a point?
SusieQ..use this opportunity to teach acceptance and tolerence to your children. Transgendered people have a difficult life that I'm sure they would not choose...people like you make it even more difficult.
Why do parents of young children feel the need to explain what a transgender is? Chaz looks like a man and no child would question that so why bring it up? I don't think they will be seeing much of the Sonny and Cher show!
@Viewer MBD... but the point is she did CHOOSE it. I am from the school, "to each its own",and I have a bit of everything in my family. However, to say that Chaz did not CHOOSE to chop off her breast is a lie. She did not have cancer in them, it wasn't something the doctor said she had to do, it was her CHOiCE. So is sleeping with women, calling herself a man, and changing her name. It is a CHOICE she made. Don't get it twisted!
Andy, I absolutely LOVE YOU. You are handsome, charming, funny, honest and you don't let anyone get away with anything... you CALL 'EM OUT without candy coating it. Anderson Cooper will do great with his show, because you two are a lot alike. AWESOME!!!
mistakes happen in nature all the time, so why is it so hard for people to have compassion over people who feel they aren't the sex they were born? and all the curiosity about what body part transgenders have---what ever happened to being polite and not asking these questions. if your not dating chaz bono or alexis arquette what do you care? as for telling your children or not--this is not the first time parents have had the worry of explaining something they weren't happy about--remember bill clinton and monica? i admire chaz bono, it takes guts to face all the comments. transgenderism maybe God's way of testing out compassion for others
