Andy Cohen adds more book dates and catches up on some summer T.V.
We're adding book signings to my schedule. Tonight I'm at the Strand Bookstore in NYC, and Friday at 7 I'm signing at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Next Wednesday, June 6th, I'm in Atlanta and June 9th signing at Bookhampton in East Hampton! And we're hoping to add one in L.A. early next week. Watch this space, or my Twitter feed. Or Facebook. Or just go about your day.It feels like NYC is blooming all over the place -- Fleet Week, sunny days that end late, everybody's wearing shorts, and there's an extra spark in the air. I love it, and it was so much fun being out at the beach over the weekend, with sunny skies and great food.
I loved our shows last week so much. I just can't stop thinking about the Dan Rather/John Mayer episode, particularly. I have such admiration for Dan Rather, and it was so fun for me to watch the entire WWHL team fall under his spell. I also can't say enough about John Mayer's new album, which I've listened to non-stop for a week. I'm not hugely familiar with his catalog, but I have to check it out.
Speaking of music and last week, I came away from meeting Adam Lambert totally impressed with him. Imagine his bravery at his age to come out publicly, glam it up, and do onstage what straight performers have been doing for years -- only with people of the same sex. I thought that was a bad double standard that ABC held up against him last year. I'm also listening to the new Scissor Sisters, and those guys are going to actually attempt to perform in the Clubhouse. Wow, it's gonna be a fun summer. Are you watching Mad Men? It has been PHENOM this season, and last Sunday's episode was at the top of the heap. Did you think Peggy was going to fall down the elevator shaft? I did. Thank the lord -- or Matt Weiner -- she didn't. I don't want it to end. Don't hate me, but I'm four episodes behind on Girls. I'll get there, people.
Thanks for all your nice comments about m'book. I worked my butt off on it, and I'm loving talking to people about it. Very cool to be on The New York Times Best Seller List, and I was really blown away by Janet Maslin's comments about it in last Friday's paper.
Don't forget we have Joey Lawrence and Steve Guttenberg on WWHL tonight after Around the World in 80 Plates, and then Thursday is our big Facts of Life reunion with Mindy Cohn and Kim Fields. And Kim reveals her real hair on Thursday's Don't be Tardy For the Wedding!
