Give Yourself Over to the Muse

Gregg talks about Jackie's bottled-up rage!

Much love to the SkyLabbers. That Lake Arrowhead retreat was something fierce. I touched on it a bit last week, but these are incredible people. My girl Tess was a definite influence on the rest of the crew. In the gym, she was a role model from the beginning. Even in the therapy session, she seemed to have an important role in self-discovery that opened the doors of communication that allowed some amazing breakthroughs. It was a moving day, and it was cool to see people look inside and hold a mirror to themselves. How often do people really do that? Probably not enough.

Man, I was watching the scenes with Jackie being so mad about her clothing line. She was f-ing pissed. That's how JW is, though. She is intense. She does bottle up that rage well, and somehow seems to manage it. Despite popular belief, I am a very calm dude. Making music is like anything else creative. You give yourself over to the muse and allow whatever is happening in the world that has your name on it come through you. If you're painting, recording or designing a concept of clothing or interior design, it's incredible to see a blank page become something unique and original. It is hard as hell to see somebody else's vision not be in line with your own and stifle what has effectively become your baby. I hope Jackie had a good cry in the bathroom. It builds character. Power to the people.

That's it. Much Love, B nice gb
