Where is Danny Zureikat Now?

Find out whether Danny stayed in yachting and who he's still in touch with from the crew.

Captain Mark Fires Danny Zureikat

Bravotv.com: Were you surprised Captain Mark let you go?
Danny Zureikat: I was at a loss for words when he handed over my plane ticket. I couldn’t process what was happening at first. Do I agree with the decision? No. I would have loved to have stayed for the last charter. But I fully respect Captain Mark’s decision and that’s why you saw me apologize instead of fight to stay. Letting me go put more pressure on everyone else… I can't imagine it was an easy decision for him. In the moment, I knew he was doing what he felt was best for HIS vessel. However, without question, his view of me was shaped by Bryan and Bobby, which is unfortunate. Having them constantly provoke me didn't help motivate me and certainly didn't help reveal how positive I actually am both personally and professionally. I think it’s obvious I intimidated Bryan and Bobby in some fashion. Both of them are great at performing the technical aspects of the job, no question about it. They just suck at teaching others how to follow in their footsteps. But at the end of day, I am extremely grateful to both of them. They taught me what I never want to become. Ultimately, I think that's the biggest gift anyone can give you in life. Turn that frown upside down, baby!

Bravotv.com: What are you up to now?
DZ: After being fired, I explored more of Greece and wound up right back at it -- working the Caribbean season. These days, you can find me in Fort Lauderdale where I work as a freelance deckhand/engineer. I am also keeping my ear open for other opportunities in the TV/Film industry. Considering my past with modeling, I think that would be the perfect transition for me.

Bravotv.com: Are you still in touch with any of the crew members?
DZ: Yes! I mainly keep in touch with Jen.

Bravotv.com: If you go back in time, would you do anything differently?
DZ: I try not to have doubts. I’m a better person because of all the good things and bad things that have happened. But if I could change one action, I would not have disobeyed the Captain’s orders.
