If you blushed while watching the trailer for Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, which included such sights as scantily-clad charter guests and crew members alike, yachties talking about hooking up, and Captain Glenn Shephard shouting expletives, you're not alone. "I’m, like, worried for my mom to see the trailer," Captain Glenn joked during an exclusive interview with Bravo Insider earlier this month.

Yes, Captain Glenn admitted that the teaser for the upcoming new season, which premieres with a supersized episode on Monday, March 1 at 9/8c, was "a bit shocking." However, having lived the charter season with Parsifal III's new crop of yachties, Captain Glenn couldn't say he was completely caught off-guard by what he saw.

"I kind of have an idea of what’s going on. I don’t know everything 'cause I can’t be in all places at all times," he said. "It’s all kind of just normal yachtie, crazy stuff. And that’s kind of the world that I live in, so I’m not too shocked."

But rest assured that this season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht will be as wild as it seems. "It’s gonna be very interesting. It’s a bit crazy. There’s a lot going on... There’s some romance going on. There’s some excitement. There’s some crazy situations," Captain Glenn teased. "I think it’s gonna be a great season. We have a great group of people on board this year. It’s very dynamic, but I think it’s very positive, too. They’re really good people. So I think people are gonna really enjoy it."

During Captain Glenn's inaugural season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, he said that he was glad to have Paget Berry, Ciara Duggan, and Byron Hissey on board, crew members he had already worked with in the past. "I was really happy to have Byron and Ciara and Paget with me, 'cause I knew them really well, [and] we were all friends and stuff like that. So that was really nice," Captain Glenn shared. "It was kind of my security blanket."

However, Season 2 brings a whole new crop of yachties to Captain Glenn's crew. "It was a bit nerve-racking," Captain Glenn said of getting to know his new crew for the first time. "I was a bit nervous when I met them all. But I could tell immediately that it was a great gang of people, and we were gonna have a great season. So yeah, that didn’t last very long."

Aside from all of the antics that the Parsifal III crew is about to get up to in the new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, one of the most memorable parts of the trailer was when the boat appeared to crash into the dock. We'll have to wait and see what happens, but Captain Glenn teased that "it's complicated." "That’s never happened before. So that’s kind of a low point in my career," Captain Glenn said of the upcoming incident. "But it was caught on film. And so, now everyone’s gonna see it, all my buddies are gonna see it, whoever’s seen the trailer has already seen it. But yeah, those things do happen."

Though the new season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht will definitely quench our thirst for some high seas drama, the stunning backdrop of Croatia will also be a feast for the eyes, according to Captain Glenn. "We weren’t interacting much with the local population ashore because of the restrictions, but we still got quite close to some amazing places," Captain Glenn shared. "I think people will be able to sort of live vicariously through the places that we go and the things that we do. And I think people will appreciate that, because, you know, all around the world we’re not able to travel like we were a year ago. I think people are gonna really enjoy that."

All in all, Captain Glenn said that "escapism" is the "perfect word" to describe Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. He added, "We all need it, right?"
