You've always felt that your hands were much too soft for manual labor, and your nail art much too three-dimensional to pound away all day on a computer. You're no ordinary job-market candidate — you're a magical fairy princess!
If this sounds like you, you're in luck. Because now you can actually get paid to live your best life as a professional princess, and all while sailing around the world on a permanent nautical vacation. Are we painting a recognizable picture? Yup, you guessed it: Disney is hiring.
The company is looking for fans of its brand to embody such royal characters as Princess Ariel (or hey, Prince Eric — EOE) on its cruise ships, Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. The opportunity would also include visits to Disney's private island in the Bahamas.
According to the Disney Careers web page, the company is also hiring for various other non-royal positions, such as a chef de cuisine, entertainers, makeup artists, recreation staff, and housekeeping managers.
Disney Cruise Line calls this the "job opportunity of a lifetime" — and it surely is, for the right people. (You probably already know who you are.) It goes on: "Our crew members bring the magic to life to deliver exceptional guest service and create family-friendly fun onboard."
Oh right, families. And that means kids.
You might be a princess, but for this job, you would probably have to come in contact with some germs. (Fortunately, your uniform could include dainty white gloves as protection).
