From Prosthetic Legs to Body Builders, Connie Arias Recalls Her Craziest Charters

Every season of Below Deck highlights the drama and passion happening among the crew. But what's just as entertaining to watch is how the crew handles some of the more unique requests from charter guests and a glimpse at the personalities of the guests who make them. We've seen 12-course tasting menus and lavishly themed parties, and one can only imagine what else charter guests have asked for over the years. While Captain Lee  Rosbach has shared the one thing he will never do for guests, that still leaves a lot of wiggle room for things to which the crew acquiesce, and they've seen their share of ridiculous requests. On the latest episode of After Deck with Kate Chastain, Connie Arias drops by and reveals some of the most bizarre things she's ever done and experienced while on charter. 

"I would set up my phone to secretly video because it's not even explainable," Connie revealed to Kate. "One of my jobs, to be honest, was to wrap a prosthetic [leg] in cellophane and put it in a trash bag and swim it up to the nude beach in Ibiza." She said the charter guest had a prosthetic made out of fabric and couldn't risk getting it wet. "The gentleman could crawl up, and then you'd hold the leg up and he'd jump in it, and you'd swim back to the boat." 

"I might borrow that one from you," Kate commented on Connie's story as she's frequently asked about craziest charter stories. She said her answer is usually, "beside [hiring] prostitutes?"

Connie said this same charter guest was part of a group of eight men, "They had to be some of the funniest guests I've ever met." The group chartered the boat for four weeks and had some other very unusual routines on the boat, including hiring attractive men to work out on the dock for them. "They were so good looking, and these gentlemen just had them come, for one week at a time, and they were basically paid to work out all day and take their shirts off," Connie said. "I don't even want to know how much they were paying these guys to work out."
