These Resort Villas Have Their Own Water Slides Into Crystal-Clear Sea and We Are *Dead*

Currently revising our bucket lists.

If some day you find yourself in the glorious Maldives, sailing down a water slide into turquoise waters below — well, congratulations. You've officially won life.

The epic bucket-list attraction is a part of the new luxury resort Soneva Jani, which sits in a private lagoon. Yes, it's pure bliss for sophisticated travelers of the grown-up variety (this aint some rinky-dink mass-market water park), but visitors of all ages can embrace their inner kid with an array of water slides plucked right out of dreams.

Consider sliding from the upper deck of your private overwater villa right into the Indian Ocean. Yes, that's really a thing available in the world right now. Hello, perfection.

The latest offering from Soneva, the hotel soft opened in October and just wrapped up construction.

In addition to the slide experience to end them all, the resort includes the first overwater observatory in the Maldives.

It also offers the first overwater silent cinema in the location, where guests are provided with Bluetooth headphones to leave the surrounding wildlife peacefully doing their thing.

Time to get those Bluetooth headphones out. Missing that outdoor overwater cinema at #sonevajani. #asianwealthmag #soneva #maldives

As for the villas — oh, the villas. In addition to slides, think retractable roofs. One drop-dead overwater villa includes about 11,500 square feet of living space — let that sink in — as well as a study room, a fitness room, an outdoor shower and daybed, TV lounge, walk-in minibar, and a sleeping area for kids... as well as that epic waterslide from the top deck into the lagoon below.

The property is a 40-minute seaplane flight direct from Malé International Airport.
