Frenchie Fanatics! 10 Famous Faces Who Have Joined the French Bulldog Club

Some of these celebs even have multiple smooshies!

By Heather Dale

It’s hard not to be drawn to the bat pig, snorting, frog face, stalky cuteness that makes up the French Bulldog. Their temperament is sweet, silly, mixed with a side of stubbornness, and we can all agree that they certainly bring the LOLs to our Instagram feeds on the regular. Heck, I love them so much, I even had two at one point! The following celebs must agree because they’ve all expanded their families with a smushy faced Frenchie or two. So maybe we don’t all fit the French-Bulldog-parent-stereotypes which include having beautiful handwriting or filing our taxes early (okay, Michael Phelps, you got me on the strong swimmer one!), but we can all agree that we can’t get enough of our beloved Frenchies.

1. Reese Witherspoon

Earlier last year, America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon (and fam) spiced up life with Pepper, a Blue French Bulldog. (Yup, that’s the appropriate term even though they are really grey!) Hopefully her chocolate lab Hank has adjusted to having a bat pig running around the house. Now would it be too presumptuous to assume she may get a fawn Frenchie in the future and name her Salt?!

2. Hugh Jackman

One of the most popular famous Frenchies on Insta is Hugh Jackman’s seven-year-old fawn boy Dali. Dali is Hugh’s little wingman who is regularly spotted with him on walks to school, running errands, or on trips to the beach with Hugh’s other doggies.

3. Madonna

Peruse through Madonna’s Insta and you’ll find a few hidden gems like this one. Her adorable French Bulldog Olga living the life cuddled up to one of her many family members.

4. Hilary Duff

A well-known dog lover, Hilary loves having lots of four-legged friends in her house, even rescues. In 2014, she added a cream puff Frenchie named Beau to her crew. Unfortunately in early 2016, Hilary shared the devastating news that Beau had passed away. But by the middle of that year, Hilary opened up her heart and home again with a new Frenchie named Peaches, who just so happened to be Beau’s sister. All together now: Awwwwww!

5. Michael Phelps

Boomer Phelps is sure to get his fair of French kisses from his fur sister and brother Juno and Legend Phelps who appear to be living the good life with the Phelps crew. Private jets, hotel hopping, and fooling around poolside with the greatest swimmer ever? Yes please!

@msjuno and I were sleepy heads this am.... @mrs.nicolephelps snuck a pic of us🙈

6. Martha Stewart

Betcha you knew that Martha had a thing for Chows, but did you know she also has Frenchies too? Not only do these foodie pups also get her homemade meals, they're fittingly named Creme Brûlée and Bette Noir respectively.

7. Eva Longoria

Eva got her Maltese Jinxy a fur brother Frenchie named Popeye back in 2015 — Eva, if you're reading this, we'd love to see you expand those graphic tees to dog shirts.

Saturday Vibes 😎

8. Dwayne Johnson - aka “The Rock”

Sadly back in 2015, Dwayne Johnson’s Frenchie Brutus (shown here on the left) needed to be put asleep after eating a toxic mushroom. Thankfully he still has Hobbs (on the right) to join him as a partner in crime on his many adventures.

9. Chrissy Teigen

The hilarious Chrissy Teigen keeps us all oohing and ahhing at her precious family photos which include her daughter Luna and her fur kids Puddy, Pippa and Penny. Puddy, an English bulldog, was the first four-legged member of the family. Then came Frenchies Pippa followed by Penny

who was adopted by Chrissy back in 2014. Plus there's an even newer bulldog ... Paul? Or Pablo? Or is this Pepper? We can’t keep up with all the cuteness!

10. Lady Gaga

The Frenchie bug has certainly bitten Lady Gaga who now has a total of three smushy faces in her house. Miss Asia on the left, then Koji on the right and her last Frenchie addition from a year ago Gustavo. In our next life, can we come back as one of her pups, please?
