Nearly a year to the day Kim Kardashian was the victim of that Paris robbery, the man behind it has sent her a personal apology note.

Aomar Ait Khedache, 60, held Kim at gunpoint, robbing her of her jewelry that frightening night, and now is begging for her forgiveness.

The translated handwritten letter, printed by TMZ, reportedly reads: "After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted ... I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence.

"I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears….Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones.”

He added: “I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault.”

He explained that he had been moved by seeing Kim’s tears after the incident. His note was given to the judge presiding over the robbery case, then and passed to Kim's lawyers, who translated it for Kim.

In October 2016, five masked intruders, between 27 and 64, forced themselves into her Paris apartment, tied her up and locked her in the bathroom as they robbed her of her jewels. Kim pleaded for her life, saying she was a mom to to babies.

Kim's statement, given the morning after and released by police in January 2017, she said: “I was in a bathrobe, naked underneath. We went back to the bedroom and they pushed me onto the bed.”

The thieves took two Cartier diamond bracelets, a Jacob necklace in gold with diamonds, earrings with diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz, three gold necklaces by Jacob, little bracelets, jewels, rings, and her famous engagement ring from Kanye. The total stolen was $10 million.

In May, Kim described her eight-hour testimony, “Just by their height and weight, I could tell who from this lineup was in the room with me,” she said .

“I was able to see who confessed. One of them was the guy that was in the room with me and it was very interesting to hear his story and it was pretty similar to my story.”

Kim did not return for Paris Fashion Week this year, calling the trauma “still too raw.”
