Alton Brown Finds Lost Dog and Names Him "Gordon Ramsay," Uses Twitter to Reunite Him With Owner
There's still goodness in this world.
Food celeb Alton Brown clearly has a soft spot for animals. He recently adopted two stray kittens he found outside his office (and gave them the cutest names ever, Stir-Fry and Shrimp Toast). And now, he's giving us the feels for reuniting a lost dog with its owner—all thanks to the power of the Internet, as reported by Us Weekly.
The lost pup apparently followed Brown home one night (smart dog!) and Brown took to Twitter, posting a video showing the hungry pooch chowing down on a bowl of food. "He followed me and I’m not set up for this," he says in the video. "If this is your dog or you know anything, please tweet me and say so, because I’m not set up for this.”
The next day, Brown posted another video, again pleading for the Internet to help him locate the dog's owner. "Gordon Ramsay, come here!" he coaxed the wrinkly short-haired pup, adding, "Somebody said I should name him Gordon Ramsay."
Brown called the dog "hideously ugly" but added that "he's sweet, and housebroken."
"I'm gonna go make posters to put up," Brown continued.
Thankfully, his Internet pleas worked, and somehow Ollie's owner (unfortunately the dog was not actually named Gordon Ramsay) was reunited with his pupper.
"So…thanks to the interwebs ‘Ollie' has returned to his rightful home,” Brown Tweeted with a pic of the pooch. "Thanks to all."
We can't get enough of these heartwarming stories—especially ones involving animals. Keep 'em coming, Alton!
