There are going to be even later nights for Late Night with Seth Meyers host Seth Meyers. The comedian’s wife Alexi Ashe welcomed their first child together, a boy, on Sunday, March 27. “Thank you everyone for the kind words! Mom and baby are doing great!!!” Seth tweeted on Monday, following the birth.
He also joked on Twitter, “I can also confirm that when you have a baby in New York you pretty much just sing ‘The Schuyler Sisters’ for the first 12 hours.”
While Seth and his lady haven’t yet revealed the baby’s name, the comic hinted that he would do so on Tuesday’s Late Night, where he has previously spoken about his excitement over being a dad. “I’m most looking forward to seeing who it looks like, that’s the first thing out of the gate,” he has said. “Although … a lot of people have said my wife and I look alike, so I think that’s the one thing we know, is that the child will look like us. If not, there’s a real problem.”
The couple were outed as soon to be parents in November 2015, when they hit the red carpet at a Museum of Natural History gala, and Alexi was sporting a bump. Mazel to the couple, who were married in 2013 on Martha’s Vineyard.
Also on Sunday, Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, gave birth for the third time, announcing the birth of her baby boy with husband Jared Kushner on Twitter. The Donald’s daughter also posted a fresh faced pic of herself in the hospital looking gorgeous, holding the baby. “Baby Theodore. My heart is full. xx, Ivanka #grateful” she captioned it.
"Jared and I feel incredibly blessed to announce the arrival of Theodore James Kushner," Ivanka said, while her presidential hopeful father expressed his joy, saying, “My daughter, Ivanka, is about to have a beautiful, Jewish, baby."
