2016 was a rough year for love. So many celebrity couples called it quits that we were starting to believe that romance actually wasn't real. But then we were reminded of all the happy A-listers who defied the odds and reminded us that love really is out there. How'd they do that? By getting hitched, obviously. So, we're taking a look back at 2016's most memorable celebrity weddings.
1. Josh Altman and Heather Bilyeu Altman
April 2, Aspen
The Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles couple left sunny L.A. behind to take in the famed ski resort town for their dreamy nuptials. That came complete with the cutest guest in the history of weddings ever — even if he had to wish the couple congrats by barking it to them.
2. Morgan Stewart and Brendan Fitzpatrick
May 7, Los Angeles area
A who's who of celebs attended the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills nuptials — including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky and Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent Josh Flagg. Now that sounds like a party to us.
3. Eva Longoria and Jose Basten
May 21, Mexico City
Eva pulled out all the stops for her wedding — including having her dress designed by the one and only Victoria Beckham.
4. Michael Phelps and Nicole Johnson
June 13, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
The Olympian took the plunge (get it?) when he said "I do" earlier this summer in a secret ceremony to the former Miss California USA just weeks after their son, Boomer Robert Phelps, was born on May 5.
5. Russell Wilson and Ciara
July 6, Liverpool, England
Their wedding took place at a castle. A castle. Which basically means they are royalty. And they looked absolutely stunning. In fact, the couple kind of looked like a king and queen. And the wedding must have been good, because by October the couple had announced they were expecting their first child together.
6. Ryan Serhant and Emilia Bechrakis
July 7, Corfu, Greece
The Million Dollar Listing New York couple brought their friends (like Luis D. Ortiz!) and family to the sunny Mediterranean island for their luxe wedding — which was planned by celebrity wedding planner Kevin Lee (so you know it was good) — and came complete with celebratory fireworks.
7. Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis
July 9, Napa, California
What happens when a baseball icon and a Sports Illustrated model get married in an intimate ceremony in Northern California? We hope babies soon because this is one genetically blessed pair.
8. Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney Schwartz
August 17, Northern California
The Vanderpump Rules couple kept the big day intimate — with plenty of cameos from their pals — and with an emphasis on the newlyweds' longtime love. "I'm so happy to have married my best friend and love that I finally get to call Tom my husband," Katie said at the time. "Celebrating with our closest friends and family has been nothing short of an amazing experience."
9. Skylar Astin and Anna Camp
September 10, Santa Ynez, California
This wedding was pitch perfect — enough said.
10. Zosia Mamet and Evan Jonigkeit
October 2, Port Jervis, New York
Leave it to the Girls actress to rock an incredibly unexpected gown (the bride wore black...) when it came time to say "I do" to her actor love in an understated and rural ceremony in upstate NY.
11. Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth
October 10, Las Vegas
12. Audrina Patridge and Corey Bohan
November 5, Hawaii
The Hills alum may have once found love with Justin Bobby (never forget), but her heart belongs for a lifetime to the BMX rider. The couple made it official this fall after welcoming their daughter, Kirra Max, back in June.
