Blac Chyna's Style Evolution: From "Rack City" to Mommyhood
The future Angela Kardashian knows her way around a catsuit.
The future Mrs. Robert Arthur Kardashian Jr., better known as Blac Chyna, is a former exotic dancer turned style and beauty entrepreneur who is about to become the next buzzed-about reality star in 3, 2, 1 . . . before you gawk at the premiere of Rob and Chyna on September 11, get acquainted with her style journey from video vixen to mother and businesswoman.
2011-2013
When we first meet our heroine, she was the leading lady in the action-packed video for rapper Tyga's "Rack City." She was also on his arm in real life (their son King Cairo was born on October 16, 2012). Her Coke-bottle curves, dimpled smile, and propensity for wigs instantly drew comparisons to Nicki Minaj. Chyna (born Angela White) was even cast to be Nicki's body double for her appearance in Kanye West's "Monster" video, and was by Nicki's side in the video for "Come on a Cone."
2013
The model launched the clothing line 88 Fin by Blac Chyna in 2013 and still often rocks pants, catsuits and accessories from the line. A beauty maverick in the making, she has since created her own cosmetics line and Southern California lash bar called Lashed.
2014
She got her curvaceous body back quickly after giving birth, and as a new mother she started playing with more prim looks. Still with a hint of naughtiness, mind you.
2015
Blac Chyna has been working extensively with designer Angel Brinks for several years, but the partnership gained more attention once Angel landed as a cast member on Basketball Wives LA. Angel has made custom bodysuits, skin-tight sequinned dresses and more for Chyna and her bosom buddy Amber Rose.
Amber and Blac Chyna stepped out on several red carpets together last year, but no appearance was more memorable than their arrival at the MTV VMAs. In the spirit of Amber's SlutWalk against slut shaming, the former strippers proudly sported matching outfits emblazoned with derogatory and misogynistic words that were created by These Pink Lips and Brittany DeShields.
2016
She was still rocking slinky pieces by 88 Fin and others into her early pregnancy.
She's favored lots of classic black and white as she started to show more, and has looked comfortable and glowing throughout her pregnancy whether in a nice dress, a cozy pair of sweats or even #nomakeup.
We can't wait to see if the current Paper Magazine cover starlet reveals any naked truths on her new show!
