The POTUS is not one to abide existing rules he doesn't care for, and he's not starting now. Certainly not when a matter so precious to him as Twitter is involved.
That's why Donald Trump's team brought "special equipment" on the presidential trip to China, which enables him to get around the country's infamous firewall, according to a White House official who spoke to NBC News' Peter Alexander.
And it's clear that it's working. Since arrival in China, the president has already tweeted three times.
Among them was an all-caps threat.
As Business Insider notes, workarounds for Twitter bans are considered illegal in countries that outlaw it.
