Exclusive! Kathy Wakile's Favorite New Beauty Treatment Involves...Balls

The RHONJ mom has a clever way to relieve sinus tension.

By Bryce Gruber

The RHONJ gals have some serious balls—even when it comes to their beauty treatments. Kathy Wakile and daughter Victoria were spotted trying a form of facial massage designed to promote circulation, healthy anti-aging, and de-puffing. And—you guessed it—balls are involved.

The treatment, FaceLove Fitness, is a sort of gym for your facial skin. Based in New York City, it  employs a variety of Medieval-looking massage tools that actually don't hurt a bit, but do encourage relaxation and toning of the facial muscles that are often under-used. Devices including facial rollers (pictured below), small rubber massage balls (seriously, balls), and musle toners are all actively included in the average FaceLove session. Both Wakile ladies aimed for treating their chins and jaw areas in an effort to create a more toned lower face.

"It's a fantastic way to get rid of daily stresses in the time you can run in for a quick coffee," Kathy shared with Lookbook exclusively. "Our skin and smiles were glowing after, and it's the best way to relieve sinus tension!"

"They were so happy to be at FaceLove even though it meant a drive into the city from New Jersey with heavy traffic," shared Heidi Frederick, cofounder FaceLove massage therapist. "Kathy and Victoria are both so easygoing, very down to earth, and Kathy was a hair stylist previously so she really appreciated the care."

The Wakile gals aren't alone in their search for alternative and safe beauty experiences, though. In fact, there are few beauty-enhancing services, like these facial fitness sessions, that mothers feel comfortable taking their young daughters to for side-by-side treatments, due in part to the widespread use of potentially unsafe chemicals in many mainstream and over-the-counter products.

This somewhat still-secret beauty nook focuses on massage, exercise, and circulatory techniques though (and yes, that includes massage balls on your cheeks), making it ideal for mother daughter duos, the chemically-sensitive, and those looking to focus on more natural and holistic anti-aging treatments. The typical FaceLove session is mostly muscular technique instead of product-reliant treatment, meaning you can go in with your eye makeup in tact and leave with it just as glamorous as when you walked in. The massage team only uses IntelligentNutrient products, a line that focuses on natural, certified organic, cruelty-free, and sustainable beauty —and even then, products are doled out in very small doses, or not at all if a client opts out.
