Halo Top, a low-calorie, low-sugar, and high-protein ice cream created in Los Angeles in 2012, was named the best-selling pint in the country earlier this year, surpassing sales of industry titans like Ben & Jerry's and Häagen-Dazs... and earning something akin to religious devotion by ardent fans.
And right about now, Halo Top devotees might want to get in line to be able to get one of the first scoops of heaven at the company's first brick and mortar location, opening at Westfield Topanga shopping center on November 15.
The scoop shop will offer soft serve in sugar cones, cups and Hong Kong-inspired puffle cones (here's how to make your own puffle cones if you're out of range of Southern California).
The Halo Top shop promises to be a place where you can order a small decadence that won't throw off a diet too much if you're trying to be good... or a spot to go crazy with toppings like marshmallow sauce and mochi as well as the option to order single, double, or triple sundaes when you're feeling like being a little less than angelic.
