Fallen film executive Harvey Weinstein is currently in an inpatient rehab facility in Arizona in the wake of a growing list of accusations of sexual misconduct from more than 30 women that range from groping to rape, and now his younger brother has been accused of sexually harassing a former employee.
Bob Weinstein recently spoke out against his brother, but according to Variety, he is also being accused of making continued unwanted advances against Amanda Segel, an executive producer of the Spike TV series Mist, and even casually threatening her job if she didn't go out with him.
“‘No’ should be enough,” Segel told the publication. “After ‘no,’ anybody who has asked you out should just move on. Bob kept referring to me that he wanted to have a friendship. He didn’t want a friendship. He wanted more than that. My hope is that ‘no’ is enough from now on.”
A rep for Weinstein issued a denial to Variety: "Bob Weinstein had dinner with Ms. Segel in LA in June 2016. He denies any claims that he behaved inappropriately at or after the dinner. It is most unfortunate that any such claim has been made."
Things were already looking down for Bob even before this latest allegation was made. A source told TMZ that "Bob will gently go" as plans are underway to create a new entity out of the brothers' company Weinstein Co. that can weather what's becoming a family scandal.
