Gigi Hadid Responds to a Stranger Who Grabbed Her in Milan
Here's how the supermodel responded when a prankster took things too far.
Not much fazes Gigi Hadid. The stunner is used to the spotlight, and being approached by loud fans and pushy reporters is all in a day's work. But nowhere in Gigi's contract does it say: put up with being manhandled by a total jerk, and the model has made her boundaries clear.
While exiting the Max Mara show at Milan Fashion Week today, Ukranian "prankster" Vitalii Sediuk (what a claim to fame) grabbed Gigi from behind and tried to lift her into the air. The athletic model used her elbows to ward Vitalii off as sister Bella screamed at him to let go of Gigi. (Check out the video on TMZ.)
Eventually, Vitalii backed down, but not without taking to Instagram to offer an odd explanation for his antics. "By doing this I encourage fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram. You can call it a manifest or a protest. This is also a wake up call for Anna Wintour." Just slightly creepy, right?
Gigi also took to social, saying rightfully that she had "every right" to defend herself in the scary situation. And after that, Gigi gamely shook the whole thing off.
Her day took a turn for the better—and the more beautiful—when Gigi focused her attention on Fendi's beautiful spring 2017 fashion show, which sister Bella opened. #ProudMommy Yolanda was, of course, following along.
