Here's How To Salute Princess Leia With Your Bridal Beauty Look
Plus, other Golden Globes coifs to inspire your walk down the aisle.
Style star—and new boutique owner!—Sarah Jessica Parker wore a braided updo at tonight's Golden Globe Awards. The look seemed particularly timely as it brought Princess Leia's famous 'do to mind. And, SJP's white Vera Wang gown also wasn't far off from the look of the iconic Star Wars character.
But if the look was an homage to Carrie Fisher, who suddenly passed away in late December, SJP didn't necessarily realize it. “I didn’t mean for that, perhaps it was in my subconscious,” the actress told Natalie Morales of NBC. “There’s actually a photograph of my mother wearing her hair like this.” However it was intended, we'll take the look as a great piece of style inspiration for brides-to-be. And, Sarah Jessica wasn't the only star to wear a delicately braided coif that's begging to go to the chapel.
Lily Collins wore a high, braided bun by Gregory Russell. The stylist wrote on Instagram that he was attempting to play up the star's "ethereal beauty," and we'd say he succeeded and then some.
Jessica Chastain had a low, braided bun that looked perfectly elegant. Her stylist Renato Campora called the coif a "clean, sleek look with a twist."
Olivia Culpo also rocked a braided bun, this one expertly styled by Justine Marjan.
