While we love all dogs equally, this is something endearing about Chihuahuas. Maybe it’s that they’re so tiny, or because their eyes are so big and buggy—or maybe it’s just a subliminal response to all of those years of Chihuaha-centric Taco Bell advertising. Whatever the case, it’s always especially heartwarming to witness a Chihuahua’s joy.
In Hope for Paws’ most recent rescue video, a teeny-tiny homeless Chihuahua is running amok outside Los Angeles. A good Samaritan called her in, and Eldad Hagar and crew were quickly on the case. After gently pursuing the pupper into a backyard, they were able to corner her and capture her with the Hope for Paws Lucky Leash. Although she was terrified—she peed and pooped out of fear—she let the rescuers pick her up and bring her safely to the car.
After a medicated bath, a fresh meal, and a warm bed, the Chihuahua—now named Blossom—was an utterly transformed dog. Bounding with joy and energy, she was soon adopted out to her forever family, courtesy of L.A. Animal Rescue.
