Miranda Priestly Is Coming Back In A Totally Unexpected Way
We didn't see this one coming.
What would Miranda Priestly's theme song be? It looks like we'll soon find out. Elton John has signed on to write the music for a Broadway show based on the book-turned-film (and now turned musical!) The Devil Wears Prada.
In a statement, the iconic singer said: “Re-imagining The Devil Wears Prada for the musical theatre is super exciting. I’m a huge fan of both the book and the feature film, and a huge aficionado of the fashion world. I can’t wait to sink my musical teeth into this hunk of popular culture.”
What else can we tell you right now? Not much. The main players have been announced. Psst, theater nerds: Fox Stage Productions, Rocket Entertainment, and Kevin McCollum will produce. But, no definite timelines are in place.
So, we have plenty of time to wonder what this will all look (and sound!) like. Will there be a catchy tune called "Flowers For Spring?" Will Bebe Neurwirth play Miranda? (You can see that, right?) We'll have wait and see. And, till then, you can bet we'll be re-watching the classic rom-com.
