We challenge you to make your own iced coffees at home, and here we give you 7 easy, irresistible hacks to try all week long. From Iced Coffee Milkshakes to Easy Vietnamese-Style Coffee, these refreshing caffeinated drinks are what your morning needs most. Note: All of these recipes start off with cold brew concentrate. To make it, stir 1 cup finely ground coffee beans and 4 cups water together in a pitcher, let sit at room temperature overnight, and pour through a fine mesh sieve lined with a cheesecloth. Or, you can just buy the stuff at your local grocer. Either way, happy caffeinating!
1. Black Magic
Fill an ice tray with cold brew concentrate and let freeze for at least 4 hours. Fill a tall glass with the coffee ice cubes. Pour in 6 ounces cold brew concentrate, 4 ounces water, and 1 tablespoon half & half, stirring with a straw to combine.
2. Maple Leaf
In a tall glass, stir together ⅓ cup sweetened vanilla almond milk and 2 teaspoons dark amber maple syrup. Add 6 ounces cold brew concentrate and 4 ounces water. Fill with ice.
3. Coffee Shake
Pour ¼ cup cinnamon sugar or turbinado sugar into a shallow dish and fill another shallow dish with water. Dip the rim of a tall glass into the water and then into the sugar. Fill glass with 4 ounces vanilla ice cream and 6 ounces cold brew concentrate. Stir with a straw to combine.
4. Easy Iced Mocha
In a tall glass, stir together ⅓ cup dark chocolate milk and 2 teaspoons chocolate fudge sauce. Add 6 ounces cold brew concentrate and 4 ounces water. Fill with ice. (Note: You may need to microwave the chocolate milk and fudge sauce for 30 seconds to get fudge to dissolve. Don’t heat the milk too high, otherwise you will melt the ice.)
5. Easy Vietnamese Iced Coffee
Fill a tall glass with crushed ice. In a bowl, stir together ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk. Pour mixture over ice and fill with 4 ounces cold brew concentrate and 2 ounces water. Stir with a straw.
6. Coffee Slush
Fill an ice tray with cold brew concentrate and let freeze for at least 4 hours. Fill a blender with the coffee ice cubes, 4 ounces cold brew concentrate, 6 ounces water, and 1 tablespoon simple syrup. Blend to desired consistency and drink with a straw.
7. Iced Granita
Stir together 8 ounces cold brew concentrate, 2 ounces water and 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Pour into a shallow baking dish and freeze for 2 hours, scraping with a fork every 20 minutes to get a flaky, icy consistency. Scoop ice chips into a glass and fill with 1 cup almond milk. Serve with a spoon or straw.
