All-inclusive deals to the Caribbean are, well, a dime a dozen. But this one stands out for several reasons. First, the price—$829 gets you five nights at an all-inclusive resort, plus flights from New York (other major city departures are also discounted). Typically this package would run you $1649, but CheapCaribbean.com is slashing the price by 50 percent…if you book by June 9. Second, back to that all-inclusive detail—you read that right, the price includes all the food and booze you consume during your stay. Read: No surprise $500 bar bill upon checking out. Third, the property is four-stars, luxurious and adults-only. That’s right, you’re leaving the kids at home. Amen to that.
Located on Mammee Bay’s white beach in Ochos Rios, the Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa has two pools, an on-site spa, six restaurants (the Aquamarine Beach Bar that had us at first sight!) and six bars/nightclubs—including a swim-up bar that turns into a live jazz club at night. Active types will appreciate the gratis kayaking, snorkeling, tennis and golf that is on-hand, while lay-on-the-beach-and-read-a-book-types will become co-dependent on the pool concierge, who hands out fresh fruit and cool towels throughout the day.
The hardest part decision you have to make isn't whether to book or not (that's a given!), but rather when you want to go—luckily the deal (at this price) runs from early August to late October, so you can get your tropical vacation on during summer or fall. If you’d prefer to leave, say, tomorrow, the price goes up, as it does for dates early next year as well (see details below).
