In early May reports had Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck kissing in a hotel bar in Paris. Now, a year after they announced they were divorcing, Ben and Jen may not be totally over after all.
After their Paris trip, the family went to Italy and stayed at at Venice's Gritti Palace hotel, where, a friend of the couple says, they discussed reuniting. The family also hit Amorino ice cream shop, and took the Eurostar cross-channel train like regular folk.
“Jen would definitely get back together with him,” said the source. “A lot of damage has been mended. They are really in a good place.”
While a source who knows Ben adds that the two are simply “co-parenting while he’s filming,” Jen has referred to Ben as the love of her life and their globe trotting as a family does seem to make them look happy.
“I didn't marry the big fat movie star, I married him. And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can't have these three babies and so much of what we had. He's the love of my life,” she said. “He's the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He's just a complicated guy. I always say, "When his sun shines on you, you feel it." But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it's cold. He can cast quite a shadow,” Jen told the March issue of Vanity Fair.
With Nannygate behind them, the two can move forward (with a new nanny.)
“We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,” Jen said. “She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes.”
