John Legend's Wine Business Threatened by Napa Fires

His grapes are on high alert right now.

There's a current state of emergency in California's Napa and Sonoma counties due to wildfires of unprecedented destruction. The blazes have threatened the region's many vineyards and wine producers, including private labels from celebrities.

According to TMZ, singer John Legend, who launched his own line of Napa Valley wines in 2015, has been told that the vineyard that produces them (Raymond Vineyards) is safe for now, with flames five miles away. But crops will probably be affected by the smoke, which will impact future production runs.

For now, his wine is still available online. His LVE Collections Cabernet Sauvignon is meant to evoke juicy cherries, raspberries, and caramelized oak. The Chardonnay is intended to suggest creamy vanilla, toasty oak, and baking spices. And his Red Blend presents notes of coffee and cocoa.
